Over the past few weeks, I had the pleasure of visiting POPPS for the first time in several years. From the moment I stepped through the doors, it felt like I was coming home. Some of the staff I was familiar with and some were new to me but each one greeted me with a bright, smiling face and a warm hug, just like they do when they greet the students each morning. Every teacher, assistant and administrative assistant knows each child’s name and story, even if the child is not in their class. The staff work and interact with each other in such a loving and supportive way and they build each other up in hard times and they celebrate the good things. The culture of the staff and their interactions truly shape the school. Everyone should have a workplace like this and every child should experience this kind of love. Thank you for letting me be a part of it for the weeks I was visiting. I can’t wait to come back again.
