YEAH TEAM
Lent was a time for reflection, hope, and doing acts of charity, and love. So the church and pre school decided to gather contributions through the ELCA Good Gifts program to buy 10 chicks for $10. These baby chicks would be sent to needy families in the USA and other countries. The 10 baby chicks become chickens which supply protein- rich eggs for hungry families, fertilizer and offspring. We are so happy that the pre school children joined us in helping others. All together we raised $203.00 !! Yes, 20 families will be helped by our wonderful program.
Prince of Peace continues to help the WholeSum Pantry with the grant money which we received from the NJ Lutheran Synod.
Here is a copy of the thank you note we received from the WholeSum Pantry.
Thank you very much for your generous donations. Please be assured that every dollar donated helps provide food for many families during this difficult time.

Testimonial – From: Lloyd Aanonsen
On May 3, 2025, purely due to my own foolish pride and overconfidence, I crashed a plane into a cabbage field off a grass airstrip in Hastings, FL, and nearly died. I believe the events of that day were not just a Miracle, but a divine intervention from God, intended to illustrate his magnificence and my need for repentance.
Leading up to this day I had allowed my heart to harden, taking full credit for any worldly accomplishments I made, while focusing on my self-justified rewards. It was no coincidence that the location of my crash, this airstrip in Hastings, was where I had recently invested time and money, setting up a mega man cave without regard to the added strain or separation it would play on my marriage.
In a biblical context, I was attempting to re-define good and evil on my own terms, but God was not going to have it, and he not only saved my life, but he revealed to me a glimpse into his holy wisdom. It is amazing to me that the bible is full of these kinds of stories; how God seeks a relationship with us and when we rebel, he provides a loving but stern correction to some of our misunderstandings.
With a renewed gratitude for life, my hope is to live with a tender and compassionate heart that brings honor and glory to God.
